About New Verticals Development

# Founder & CEO: Kali Terry

Kali Terry is a first-generation property owner, small business owner, and real estate developer with deep roots in the Twin Cities. Originally from South Minneapolis, Kali is a newer developer committed to creating meaningful, community-centered real estate projects that intersect health and housing.

In 2021, Kali founded his small-scale real estate development company with a mission to expand access to affordable housing through practical, timely, and sustainable development. His work focuses on adaptive reuse, urban infill, acquisition-rehab, preservation projects, and “missing middle” housing opportunities. These projects are often overlooked by larger developers but are essential to building stronger, more inclusive neighborhoods.

Company history

## How we got here

2018

**Life Juices founded.** A mobile, plant-based cafe bringing nutrition access to neighborhoods that need it most.

2021

**New Verticals Development founded.** A small-scale real estate development company focused on affordable housing in the Twin Cities.

2022

**First multifamily acquisition.** A five-unit building near the State Capitol, preserved with LISC Twin Cities support.

2023

**Joined Ramsey County's inaugural Emerging and Diverse Developers cohort.**

2025

**Completed the Emerging and Diverse Developers program.**

2026

**First RE-Seed property transfer** completed in partnership with Project for Pride in Living.

Kali's development philosophy is rooted in a simple belief: identify a community, invest in it consistently, care for its existing assets, and allow those investments to grow into lasting neighborhood impact.

Real estate development isn't about chasing volume. It's about cultivating value, strengthening communities, and creating an impact that lasts.
